The Oberheim DX is an iconic drum machine that came out in 1983, derived from its older brother, the DMX, and played a crucial role in pop and hip-hop music of that decade. Its powerful and realistic sound, with a resolution higher than most drum machines of the time, remains relevant today in genres such as retro pop, new wave, hip hop, reggaeton, and electronic music. The DX legacy lives on, as it continues to be an important part of contemporary music production.
