808 One Shots

Every sample was recorded directly from the hardware through a premium API 3124+ microphone preamp with only a minimal amount of gain, preserving the natural tone and transient response of the instrument. The signal was then captured through an Apogee Symphony Mk II at 48 kHz / 24-bit resolution with no compression, EQ, saturation, or any additional processing during recording, ensuring the cleanest possible source.

The raw recordings were then carefully processed entirely in the box using a selection of industry-standard tools, including FabFilter Pro-Q 4, Soundtoys Decapitator, UAD Studer A800, UAD 175B Tube Compressor, Moog Filter, and Valhalla Plate. The UAD 175B Tube Compressor was used to add warm vintage tube character while preserving the punch and musicality of the original recordings. Each processed variation was designed to enhance the original character while offering a unique sonic flavor, giving you a versatile palette of tones ready for virtually any production.
